- Expanding global sales network through Macnica to target North America and Europe

- Co-developing next-generation AI-based 3D sensing solutions with PMD

NAMUGA Co., Ltd. (KOSDAQ 190510) announced on the 4th that it has signed a global sales agreement (MOU) with Macnica Holdings, Japan’s largest technology-focused semiconductor and electronic components distributor.

Through this MOU, NAMUGA has secured a strategic foothold for expanding its global sales network across North America, Europe, Japan, and other major overseas markets.

Macnica is a company with annual revenue of approximately KRW 10 trillion and ranks among the world’s top five semiconductor distributors by sales. A significant portion of its revenue comes not only from Asia but also from North America and Europe. As an official distributor for global semiconductor leaders such as NVIDIA, Intel, Sony, and Qualcomm, Macnica possesses an extensive worldwide sales channel.

Under the MOU, the two companies will jointly conduct sales activities targeting global big tech companies, security solution providers, automotive OEMs, and robotics manufacturers, with NAMUGA supplying camera and 3D sensing modules. Macnica will lead global market development, customer acquisition, technical sales, and overall sales operations.

Beginning with this MOU, the partnership is expected to accelerate discussions over the next five years around new business development, equity-based collaboration, and large-scale supply agreements.

NAMUGA explained that while the company will continue to directly manage sales efforts for global big tech customers, it plans to leverage Macnica’s worldwide channels for standardized products in the security, automotive, and industrial camera/sensor markets—sectors that account for more than half of global demand—to increase internal operational efficiency across sales and engineering resources.

Meanwhile, collaboration to strengthen NAMUGA’s 3D sensing technology has also gained momentum. Since the “2025 Tech-Day” event in November, NAMUGA has continued to work closely with PMD Technologies, a German 3D sensing specialist, on AI-based imaging and deep-learning processing technologies (AIDE solution).

PMD, a key 3D image sensor partner of Infineon, supplies ToF sensing technology to major IT and automotive companies around the world. The cooperation focuses on combining NAMUGA’s manufacturing and design capabilities with PMD’s advanced AI technology to create next-generation 3D sensing solutions.

NAMUGA CEO Don Lee stated, “The key to succeeding in global market expansion is securing the right sales network, and Macnica is a partner with one of the strongest networks in the world.”

He added, “NAMUGA is the only camera and 3D sensing module company to have signed a global MOU with Macnica, which is highly meaningful. Building on this agreement, we will continue to broaden our value-chain footprint and pursue sustainable growth.”
