SEOUL, South Korea, May 14, 2026 – NAMUGA announced today that it is expanding its vision solution territory from its existing lineup—which primarily focused on lower-body obstacle detection—to the "head," the uppermost section of robotic systems.

Following the announcement in January regarding its selection as a 3D sensing camera module partner for a global automotive robot platform, NAMUGA is currently proceeding with its production line setup, aiming for full operation this June. Thanks to close collaboration with the client since the initial stages, the project has reached a stable orbit, successfully achieving key milestones at every step.

Furthermore, beyond lower-body sensors, NAMUGA is accelerating its collaboration on 3D vision solutions for the robot's "head" section. Following the successful completion of Proof of Concept (PoC), the project has now entered the initial development phase. In this project, NAMUGA is recognized not just as a supplier of 3D cameras, but as a developer of a final integrated perception module—a testament to its superior process technology and quality control capabilities.

The core of this portfolio expansion lies in providing vision solutions that support advanced robotic perception. While lower sensors focus on securing driving paths, the perception module mounted on the "head" enables "Spatial Intelligence," allowing robots to view and interpret objects from a human eye level. As the technical complexity increases, the added value of the supplied products is also expected to rise significantly.

"As the global robotics market grows rapidly, it is crucial to enter the core supply chain early and secure mass-production references," said Dong-ho Lee, CEO of NAMUGA. "While we solidify a stable production system for our dedicated robotics line starting in June, we will also accelerate R&D for high-value solutions, such as advanced perception modules."
