Last week, our team participated in SPIE Photonics West 2026, held at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, one of the world’s largest and most influential exhibitions for optics and photonics. The event gathers global leaders in imaging, sensing, and semiconductor technologies, providing an ideal platform to introduce new products and exchange ideas on future applications.

At this year’s exhibition, we showcased two of our latest ToF sensing solutions: Stella 180 and Stella 120, both designed to deliver high-performance 3D sensing for robotics, mobility, and smart device applications.

Introducing Stella 180

Stella 180 attracted strong interest thanks to its wide field of view and stable long-range depth performance. Designed for environments that require broad coverage, Stella 180 enables reliable perception across large scenes, making it well-suited for robotics navigation, obstacle detection, and spatial awareness applications.

Visitors were able to experience live demonstrations showing how Stella 180 captures accurate depth data even under challenging lighting conditions. Many attendees highlighted its smooth point-cloud output and consistency, especially for use cases such as autonomous systems and indoor mapping.

 Introducing Stella 120

Alongside Stella 180, we also presented Stella 120, optimized for compact integration with high accuracy and fast response. With a balanced field of view, Stella 120 is ideal for applications requiring precise short-to-mid-range depth sensing, such as human detection, gesture recognition, and smart interaction systems.

During the demos, visitors were particularly interested in Stella 120’s low-latency performance and clean depth images, which enable real-time processing in robotics and embedded systems. The feedback showed strong potential for deployment in consumer, industrial, and mobility platforms.

SPIE Prism Awards

Another highlight was attending the SPIE Prism Awards ceremony, which recognizes innovative photonics products worldwide. Being part of this ceremony allowed us to see how rapidly the photonics industry continues to evolve and reinforced our motivation to keep advancing our own sensing technologies.

SPIE Photonics West 2026 provided a valuable opportunity to demonstrate our Stella lineup in a real-world setting, gather feedback directly from users, and explore new directions for 3D sensing innovation.
