- After being selected as a supplier, NAMUGA moves to concretize the mass-production timeline for 3D sensors
- Operating profit up 34.5% year-on-year, strengthening R&D capabilities on the back of solid performance
NAMUGA’s 3D sensing module supply project for robotics has officially entered full swing. NAMUGA announced on the 29th that, just over a month after being selected as a supplier for a global robot platform, it has moved into the technical consultation phase for mass production and supply.
To optimize the performance of its 3D sensing modules, which serve as the intelligent “eyes” of robot platforms, NAMUGA has maintained close technical collaboration with customers even prior to supplier selection. Currently, the company is proceeding as planned with the establishment of a dedicated production line aligned with the product supply schedule. This progress reflects NAMUGA’s early-stage preparation and continuous feedback exchange with customers, enabling it to secure mass-production completeness and manufacturing reliability in advance.
The level of sophistication of physical AI that interacts with the real world ultimately depends on the ability to integrate diverse vision solutions into one through sensor fusion. In particular, NAMUGA’s manufacturing know-how—built on the mass production and integrated operation of a wide range of optical module lineups—has become a key reason why collaboration requests from leading global companies continue to increase.
Starting with the initial supply of robotics products in 2026, NAMUGA plans to actively expand its global customer network. Beginning with this platform adoption, the range of robot lineups applying NAMUGA’s technology is also expected to grow steadily going forward.
Meanwhile, NAMUGA disclosed on the 29th that its operating profit increased by 34.5% year-on-year. This growth was driven by the maximization of cost competitiveness based on NAMUGA’s proprietary manufacturing expertise accumulated through large-scale mass production. The company plans to extend these strengths to new businesses as well, building a virtuous cycle in which solid performance drives future growth.
NAMUGA CEO Don Lee said, “If last month’s supplier selection announcement was the starting signal for entering the robotics market, we are now in a phase of concentrating our capabilities for successful mass production,” adding, “We will focus our resources on completing our advanced development tasks without disruption so they can contribute visibly to business results.”
