NAMUGA Sees Mobile Revenue Rebound in H2… "Revenue and Operating Profit Expected to Exceed Year-Ago Levels"
Date of writing 2026 . 08 . 12

- H2 earnings improvement forecast across the board

- Mobile rebound as a springboard… accelerating expansion into new applications such as robotics and mobility

NAMUGA (KOSDAQ: 190510) is set to improve its second-half performance on the back of a revenue rebound in the mobile segment, driven by foldable products.

The company announced on the 12th that revenue and operating profit are expected to improve in the second half as the effect of new mobile model launches is fully reflected in earnings. NAMUGA is expected to drive the earnings rebound by expanding its focus on high-value-added product lines.

In particular, revenue growth is accelerating on the strength of foldable device sales to a major customer. With an expanding lineup of flagship applications and increased content per device, revenue and operating profit in the second half are expected to improve and surpass year-ago levels.

Counterpoint Research projects that global foldable smartphone shipments will grow 21% year-over-year in 2026. Notably, Samsung Electronics' 2026 Galaxy foldable lineup has driven market growth with global pre-orders up more than 30% compared to the previous generation, and analysts expect the foldable market to expand further, led by top manufacturers offering differentiated product completeness and AI-based user experience (UX).

While solidifying its position in the mobile sector, NAMUGA is also accelerating efforts to secure new growth engines by diversifying its customer applications beyond mobile, leveraging its 3D camera technology into non-mobile domains.

NAMUGA CEO Don Lee stated, "Through timely response to new flagship products in the second half and advancement of our production processes, we have laid the groundwork for simultaneous growth in revenue and profitability." He added, "In particular, as mobility projects for major European customers continue to expand, we will accelerate the pursuit of new growth engines such as robotics and mobility, built on our proven 3D sensing technology."
