On January 9th (U.S. local time), NAMUGA announced that it had signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Infineon at CES 2025 in Las Vegas, USA.
The two companies have been collaborating since 2022, but this is their first time signing an MOU. Infineon is a company with ToF sensor technology, while NAMUGA manufactures 3D vision sensing modules using ToF sensors.
NAMUGA and Infineon have agreed to expand ToF technology applications into fields such as rearview cameras (RVC), augmented reality and virtual reality (AR/VR), automotive, security, and bio-medical devices.
The companies will also work together to expand the application of this technology, which is currently being used in projectors and robotic vacuum cleaners, and to discover global customers.
NAMUGA CEO Lee Dong-ho said, “We have formed a partnership with Infineon, a global leader in ToF sensor technology. As the demand for 3D image sensing-based technology continues to grow, we will work closely with Infineon to develop various solutions for global customers and rise to the forefront of the industry.
